This weekend, dust off your dancing shoes and slick your quiff because designers Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway are bringing their award winning Vintage festival to the mighty Southbank Centre in London. Held over three days, the festival celebrates art, music, design, film and fashion from the 1920s to the 1980s.
The six floors of the Royal Festival Hall will be transformed into a multi-venue playground where pass holders can enjoy live performances, DJ sets and catwalk shows, cocktails bars, nightclubs and restaurants. Every evening, The Royal Festival Hall auditorium will host a themed Vintage Revue featuring some of the world’s greatest musicians and performers.
In the outdoor spaces of the Southbank Centre, you’ll find an enormous vintage market, hair and beauty parlours, themed restaurants and bars and a vintage fun fair. And make sure you don’t miss the very popular Chap Olympiad, which includes highly competitive events like Butler Baiting and Umbrella jousting. Make sure your moustache is freshly waxed!
