Could I add ‘The Halfway House’ in Edinburgh, which could challenge for the UK’s smallest pub, and ‘The Crooked House’ in Gornal wood, West Midlands, one side of which is four feet lower than the other due to susidence. The only thing that stands up straight is the grandfather clock!
No one was ever executed in the Skirrid Inn and the Monmouth Rebellion involved the Duke of Monmouth in Somerset and has nothing to do with Monmouth or Monmouthshire. The Skirrid only became a pub in the 1850s so its not even a contender for the oldest pub in Wales title
The smallest pub is actually the signal box inn in cleethorpes… I’m also pretty sure it made guiness world records …. but i might be mistaken. either way it is UK’s smallest pub x

Nice one. Thanks for these! We’ve looked at the Crooked House (http://www.theukcuriosityblog.com/look/photo/pic-of-the-week-the-crooked-house-pub) before but I didn’t know about Halfway House. Thanks! I’ve spread the word on facebook. Cheers!
