Welcome to The UK Curiosity Blog. Lowly persons that we are, we can’t bring you a comprehensive British must-do list. And we wouldn’t want to. There are guidebooks for that. What we want, dear reader, is to inspire you with an essence of the place, uncover a few of its secrets and celebrate its quirkier corners.
We pride ourselves on being ferociously independent, open-minded and just a tad more adventurous than our bigger brother VisitBritain, so come back and have a rummage through our curiously British events, observations, videos, images and recommendations whenever you can. Enjoy!
The Writers
Dan
Dan is an interloper from the other hemisphere. She arrived in London several years ago and now firmly ensconced in London life, finally gets what all the fuss was about. She is a writer, contributor of visual delights and general lover of the often hilarious land that is the UK.
She is a fan of things with buttons and levers, robots, loud & filthy hip hop and all manner of digitised wonders.
She is the fly in Al’s ointment and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Dan may or may not have been raised by wolves.
Al
Born and bred in England, Al is a writer and resident expert on all the wonders, oddities and often absurd traditions of this United Kingdom.
When he’s not adjusting his monocle* and combing his moustache, Al takes great pride in documenting the architectural treasures of UK, tending to his acreage, polishing his brogues and throwing mad shapes to ravey tunes cranking out of his gramophone.
Al was most certainly not raised by wolves.
*Al may not actually wear a monocle.

Hi there,
I run The Blighty Traveller and was wondering if you would care for a link exchange?
Happy travels!
Hi Ross, thanks for getting in touch. Sure, that sounds great. I enjoyed reading your piece written as a riposte to the blogger who claimed people should avoid the UK on the basis that it’s always too expensive.
I’ve added you to our blogroll.
Happy Christmas
Alex
Sounds good to me, Ross. My present website looks a bit amateurish and I’m going to be upgrading it.
